Taxes? Taxes? I Don' Need No Steenkin' Taxes!

I've got an idea about how we can pay down our debt in a hurry! Yas, to say it's unusual is a truism. To say it's novel, it is.
I like to believe it's BOLD!

I believe--at last count--some 49% of the American people voted for Obama.
I believe Obama favors taxes.
Therefore, combining the two, let's have all democrats that voted in the presidential election, immediately start paying double the amount of taxes they paid in the past two years. In the meantime, let's give the republicans a tax break of 1/4 of what they paid in the past two years.

VOILA! Debts gets paid down and the repubs get a break and the dems become deliriously happy at paying more than their share of taxes!

Problem solved!

Ah, What Tangled Webs We Weave--and How Obvious!

I recently posted an article explaining WH personnel are worried about the state of Obama's mind. I think it proved Obama is worried about Obama's mind, also, as evidenced by his several flip-flops recently.

Remember way back when the country was euphoric, because they had elected a black man a president--even though he wasn't black, but was Arab? Anybody remember the first meeting he had with congressional republicans when he arrogantly told them, "I won!"?

Well look at the poor boy now. After being whipped royally in the last election, he's decided he'd better soften the opposition with BS, before he loses all credibility with his own base--and ultimately, any possibility of being re-elected in 2012.
So he blathers on and on about how the 112th congress will be all about "compatibility" and "compromise".

Upon hearing that, I wondered if he was compromising with republicans when they asked for 10 days to review the Health care bill?
Was he compromising when his toadies in the congress brought the bill out for a vote, knowing full well they had majority votes tied up?
Was he feeling compassionate when that same bill was rammed through over the objections of the republicans?
In fact, have you seen ANYTHING the democrats wanted brought to the floor to be aired for approval?

The answer to all of that is no--NO--ABSOLUTELY NOT!

So how will the 112th congress operate, now that we see how eager the democrats are to "compromise"? Could it be Obama is busily blowing smoke up the republican's butts, hoping to gain an edge when it comes to laying blame?
You betcher bippy he is.

And if the republicans fall for it, they'll deserve everything they get.
The problem is the country won't deserve it, but at this point, who the hell cares what the country wants or needs? Obama has more than adequately proven he neither worries about public opinion when he thinks he has a majority, nor care a fig for what might be best for the country. In the two years past he's proven that over and over again.

If the republicans are smart and want to extend their congressional lives, they will pass only the bills that suit the conservatives and repeal every bill passed in the past two years the democrats favored, starting with Obamacare.

They should get on with boosting the economy of the country no matter what the democrats think.
When it comes to satisfying voters, I'd much prefer to see them satisfy the American voter, rather than the socialist voter.
